Indian Constitution is one of the very few in the world which has acknowledged and stressed the need for scientific temper to develop a modern self- sufficient society. But unfortunately nearly six decades after the acceptance of our constitution irrationality breeds in every echelon of the society. This blog is started with the intention of triggering a debate on the need for a scientfic approach and the ways and means to achieve it. The blog aims to be a platform for all views ranging from an event commentary to a philosophical analysis that would help strengthen the case for scientific spirit. We feel there cannot be a better time to start this blog than now, as we are celebrating the International Year of Astronomy and Darwin200.
